On August 1st, 2009 Frizzell appeared with performers, Kory Blake, CJ Garton and KY Bluebird, a Keith Whitley Tribute Band to celebrate the life and career of the late Keith Whitley. This celebration centered around a portrait Frizzell created of Keith Whitley and unveiled as to be part of Keith's exhibit at the KY Music Hall of Fame in Renfro Valley, KY. Several months before, Frizzell's portrait was commissioned by the Keith Whitley Association, founded by Bonnie Hill and Flo Whitley. Prints of this portrait are available in Corey's online store.
